The Company’s surface modification additives are used in FDA-approved medical devices and are clinically proven to reduce infection and thrombus-related complications. IBI’s sustained local drug delivery technology is applicable across a range of drug classes and medical specialties with an initial focus on ophthalmology. The company’s lead product under development in the local drug delivery technology is a dexamethasone-releasing intravitreal implant for the treatment of inflammatory ocular conditions and is anticipated to be in clinical trials in 2020. The Associate Research Chemist (1 Year Contract) will support the development of novel medicinal formulations for use in IBI’s local, sustained drug delivery technology. The position will have a role in synthesis, characterization, and testing of novel molecular compounds in support of IBI’s drug delivery platform technology. The ability to problem solve, perform work in a well-organized and logical manner, and communicate effectively are attributes that will be critical to success in this position.
